near Georgian Bay in Tay Township, Simcoe County, just south of Hwy 12 and just west of Hwy 400, near Waubaushene and Victoria Harbour, Ontario

this is about a thousand yards north of the 17th Century Huron Village site identified as St. Ignace II where St. Jean de Brebeuf and St. Gabriel Lalemant were martyred in 1649 by the Iroquois along with many Hurons. Some archaeologists are unconvinced that this is in fact St. Ignace II.
