a small piece of introspection from 2002

I was poking around in my disorganized documents folder and a few dozen semi-chaotic sub folders and came across this:

I have arrived at the point where I appreciate cats and dogs more than people.

There is no surprise with dogs. You can tell from the start, whether they want to be your friend. Then it is a matter of a chest tickle, a tail wag and a shaking of the paw. I have often wondered if my relationships with women would have gone better if I had followed the same pattern.
