Shakespeare with trumpeter swans – “May I join them?”

from a few years ago, the late, great Shakespeare

one of my most commented upon photos on

he is standing on a large, flat, submerged rock in Georgian Bay, real depth of water there is about 3-3.5 feet deep….the telephoto lens makes the swans look a little closer than they were, but they were a little curious about the dogs that day and stayed close for a remarkably long time. in fact, this was the only time that the trumpeter swans and the dogs swam close together.
